Sergio Rodrigues

Born in 1927 in Rio de Janeiro, Sergio Rodrigues was one of the foremost exponents of modern furniture in the world. The Brazilian culture is reinterpreted in his furniture collection of modern design.
Sergio Rodrigues died in the same city in 2014, the year that he celebrated six decades of continuous activity in furniture design having developed more than 1,200 projects. He played a most significant role in architecture – the discipline in which he graduated in 1952 – and was also a remarkable craftsman.
Sergio Rodrigue’s collection embraces the solid wood and consists of 56 iconic pieces of furniture, including the most iconic ones created by the master throughout his 60-year career in furniture design.
